AREXX
Implementation of programming language REXXAREXX (Amiga REXX) was implemented for the Amiga computer in 1987, and is still used with MorphOS and AOS4 as a general scripting tool. Amiga OS provided a well-documented API for connecting AREXX with applications, and most applications were written to take advantage of this, allowing users to write macros to enhance them, and to exchange data between applications as well.
